History matters. Helping people engage with their past is my passion. By improving practice in the heritage and historic environment sectors, and by effective and efficient communication of knowledge and information across the profession, we can work together better. I use and promote digital technologies such as XML, Web Services, and social media platforms in the service of practical and pragmatic objectives. Outside of paid employment, I'm pleased to be on the Executive Committee of 'Poems in the Waiting Room' (www.poemsinthewaitingroom.org) which is a small UK arts in health charity, providing free cards of modern and classic poetry to patients in GP and hospital waiting rooms.
