I currently work for Akron Public Schools as an English as a Second Language (ESL) tutor. I primarily work with high school students in grades 9-12 at Firestone High School, the National Inventors Hall of Fame STEM High School, Akron Early College High School, and East CLC. Earlier this year, I also worked with students at Garfield High School, Kenmore High School, and Ellet High School. My students are all identified as English language learners (ELLs), and I utilize the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) model when I teach them concepts in the subject area(s) where they struggle most.
