There are several key barriers to integrating information and communication technologies (ICT) into schools. These include a lack of qualified teachers to teach and incorporate ICT into lessons, unreliable electricity access in many areas which prevents consistent ICT use, and government corruption that results in schools not receiving needed technology resources. Additionally, most government schools do not have internet access, limiting their ability to utilize online learning tools and resources. Overcoming these barriers is important for successful ICT integration in schools.
2. •THEY ARE MANY CHALLENGES OR
BARRIES THAT LEAD TO THE
INTERGRATION OF ICT AT SCHOOLS
NOT BEING SUCCESSFUL
3. •ICT INTERGRATION IS WHEN
TEACHNOLOGY IS USED TO HELP WITH
THE PROCESS OF TEACHING AND
LEARNING
4. •Just like any other process of teaching
and learning ICT Integration at schools
has its own barriers too.
5. 1. LACK OF QUALIFIED TEACHERS
•This is a barrier because most of the
teacher are not qualified to teach CAT
or use it to make their process of
teaching and learning much easier.
6. 2. ELECTRICITY
• It is a problem that almost the whole country is aware
of that there is shortage of electricity in this country,
and due to that the implementation of ICTs becomes
unsuccessful as you cannot implement it without
electricity
• And yes others may argue that they have electricity,
but you ought to think of those in the rural areas who
have no access to electricity at all.
• And even in the cities and all those urban areas they
may not have access to electricity due to the crime,
where you find out that there is cable theft.
7. GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION
•The reason why other schools lack the
resources is because of the corruption
from our government.
•This is seen because they don’t deliver
the needed resources to the school so
that makes it difficult for the educators
to teach using ICTs.
8. NO ACCESS TO INTERNET
• Most of the government schools don’t have
access to the internet as the government is
mostly focused on providing textbooks which
they still can’t deliver.
• No one teaches them how to safely use the
internet as they don’t know and have access
to it.
