In 1995, I found Shogo Mochizuki, who began studying Japanese Anma when he was only four years old from his famous grandmother. After two years of intensive studies, I began teaching Level I Anma, and continued to apprentice with Mochizuki for another two years. I mastered my craft and over the next few years sustained a successful practice creating a core niche of less than 50 regular clients visiting my studio two or more times per month. In 1999, my career was temporarily derailed by a car accident with a drunk driver.
