I am a seasoned software engineer/manager and have been battling computing challenges for many years. After spending years as an Artificial Intelligence research programmer, I transitioned to the "real world" and honed my craft at companies like Oracle, Google and LinkedIn along with a smattering of bleeding-edge startups and consulting gigs. What excites me? Powerful abstractions that elegantly solve difficult computing problems. Technologies like Scala, MongoDB, Gradle and Hadoop are some of my current favorites.
