Francesca Smiraglio was born in Maranello, Italy, in 1987. She obtained her bachelor degree in Modern Italian Art, Humanities and Literature from Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, and recently received an MFA in History and Preservation of the Artistic Heritage from Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, Campus Ravenna. She spent nine months at Universidad Aut蠈noma in Madrid as an exchange student. Her field of research includes Modern and Contemporary Art, focusing both on a phenomenological and iconographical research, and on museum education. Her MA thesis is a musical iconographic essay about seventeenth-century frescoes painted inside the Ducal Palace of Sassuolo tha..
