Born in 1978, Francesco Fatone is currently Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Verona.
Francesco's major research topic concerns: (1) the biological treatment wastewater of wastewater and/or organic waste, (2) nutrients removal and resource recovery from anaerobic digestate and (3) xenobiotics removal and fates in WWTPs.
Within IWA, Francesco is co-chair of the Specialist Group on Small Water and Wastewater Systems and member of management committee of IWA working group on Alternative Water Resources based in China. He is chair of the IWA specialized conference ecoSTP2014.
