I explore hidden history and issues of equity to initiate new activities and programs, and thereby, bring together people of diverse backgrounds. The goal of educating others is to stimulate understanding and appreciation of our differences. As a middle and high school history teacher with 16 years of experience, my primary objective was to provide a learning environment both in and out of the classroom that dispels myths and stereotypes, and promotes social justice by including the perspectives of different cultural, gender and socioeconomic groups of society.
