About
I am an Electrical Engineering student passionate about eradicating poverty in Africa through volunteering to train the less privileged members of the society on both renewable energy and technology.
As Chapter leader of the University of Nairobi WAAW Foundation chapter, I lead a team of six college students for the College-to-Secondary STEM Mentoring and training program targeting low-resource public secondary schools within Nairobi, Kenya. Over the past two years, the Nairobi chapter has trained over 200 High school girls in computer programming using the STEM-in-a-handbag WAAW kits, Raspberry Pi/Arduino platform, Renewable energy science lessons and Mobile applications development.
