Education

My primary interest is in improving the ability of research to contribute to dealing with complex real world problems by 1) synthesising knowledge from relevant disciplines and stakeholders, 2) understanding and managing diverse unknowns and 3) providing integrated research support (combining what we know and don't know) for policy and practice change. I argue that this could be assisted by a new discipline of Integration and Implementation Sciences (I2S, see http://i2s.anu.edu.au). I am also the Director of the Research School of Population Health and of the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health.
