I was a professional athlete in Artistic Gymnastics, competing for the Greek National Team as a teenager, which gave me the opportunity to study Medicine with an unconditional offer from University of Athens. I graduated in 2009 with a Clinical Scholarship for the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA (Pulmonary - Critical Care Medicine). I studied the ARDS physiology as part of my PhD and published in Critical Care, while I was involved in clinical research regarding sepsis, ARDS, biomarkers, and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, publishing research articles in many peer-reviewed journals.
