Had a brain tumour when I was 7 had 3 lots of intense surgery. First and second lot didn't work so we changed surgeon and he removed 97% of the tumour. The last 3% was left on the brain stem which meant had my surgeon removed it I would have been permantly paralysed down my right side. Instead I was due to have an 18 month course of chemotheraphy but after 1 year the tumour was completely gone and the hearing in my left ear was reduced to 3% so I stopped it. Now I only have to go back to hospital once every year for a scan!! So in other words I survived a brain tumour!
