Hans De Clercq was born in Hasselt, Belgium, in 1985. He received the M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2009 presenting the Master thesis: "Textile Integrated Data Acquisition System for Vital Surveillance during Sleep".
worked as a research assistant under the guidance of prof. dr. ir. R. Puers at the MICAS laboratories of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven towards a PhD degree in the field of wearable and wireless solutions for biomedical, longterm vital signs acquisition.
