Harriete Estel Berman uses recycled materials to construct artwork ranging from jewelry, sculpture, to installations engaged in social commentary.
Berman’s work has been shown throughout the United States, and in Europe and Africa. Her work is included in the permanent collections of 15 museums and included in over 38 books. The book "REMANUFRACTURED: The Conspicuous Transformation of Everyday Objects" has a whole chapter that focuses exclusively on Berman's work. Her work is also include in the book "Makers: A History of American Studio Craft", the only comprehensive survey about craft history in the U.S. during the 20th century.
Harriete Estel Berman has written a series of PROFES
