My professional career started out in metallurgical research, then evolved into technical sales and marketing, and when PCs came along, I started developing tools to help me with my sales. It was not long before I was finding work as an IT applications engineer--first with a financial services marketing boutique on Wall Street, then as a consultant with an EDS division in Denver and then at Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
While at Nike, I started teaching part-time, first at Oregon Health & Science University (Project Management), both in the classroom and online (distance learning), and then online at Marylhurst University (Business Strategy, Business Statistics).
