My major research interest is study on molecular plant pathogen interaction using functional genomics tools such as cDNA-AFLP and protein 2D electrophoresis techniques. Recently, I have focused on interaction between Triticum aestivum and Fusarium graminearum that led to isolation and characterization of several gene and proteins involved in the defense reaction in Wheat against fusarium pathogen causing FHB disease. I am founder of PhD program namely "plant radiation breeding" in Iran.
