From the beginning of 90's my research focused in the study of evolutionary biology, specifically on the genetic study of natural populations, the computational analysis of natural and artificial systems, and the evolutionary study of eukaryote genomes. Initially, I studied the karyotype structural variation of fossorial South American rodents and the genetic variation with mitochondrial and nuclear markers of amphibian populations in Northern Spain.
