The SIESE-Samambaia Institute of Environmental Sciences & Ecotourism has as main objective the Environmental Education, fighting Nature Deficit Desorder as well as the implementation of Local Agenda 21, social inclusion and empowerment, having the purest strains mission and the defense, preservation and conservation of the environment and species and promote sustainable development in the PEA/APA (Protection Environmental Area) of Petropolis, free promotion of environmental education, and with guidelines as indicated by the National Environmental Education according do Decree-Law 9795 of April 27, 1999.
