Mechanical Engineer, 15 years experience in Engineering / Construction mostly in Mining. Graduated from the Universidad Catolica in Peru, started his career as construction engineer for the construction company GyM (www.gym.com.pe) in construction projects throughout the Andes of Peru. After GyM, Manuel moved to work mostly in the project controls area first in Antamina Copper Project (as Concentrator scheduler), Yanacocha Newmont Mine (as Project Controls) and Antamina Mine (as Project Controls).
Since 2005, Manuel has worked for Fluor in the development of the Cerro Verde Project in Peru and the EPCM of Pueblo Viejo Project in Canada/Dominican Republic.
