She received her Ph. D. in Turkish Philology. She is working as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Literature, Anadolu University, Turkey. She is also a language advisor for the office of Instructional Design for books at the Open Education Faculty. She participated many projects on teaching Turkish as second language. She works as instructor at language programmes teaching Turkish to foreigners.
