I research technologies to improve the energy efficiency of telecommunications networks:
- Designing energy harvesting materials and systems for telecommunications applications (small cells, data centres)
- Materials research for high efficiency tandem solar cells
- Reducing the cooling requirements of photonics devices with nanomaterials
I am a researcher-in-residence at the Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanostructures and Nanodevices (CRANN) at Trinity College Dublin.
Specialties: photonics, solar cells, energy efficiency, R&D, semiconductor device fabrication and testing (solar cells, lasers, diodes)
