As an Authorised Aircraft Engineer with a Systems and Structures Aircraft Engineering Approval, my major roles include:
- initial evaluation of major modifications, repairs and detailed inspections amongst others during jobcard preperation.
- preparing aircraft damage reports and evaluating incoming defects for aircraft layovers
- detailed research of aircraft maintenance tasks for capability, material and tooling.
- analyzing existing approved maintenance manuals and drawings for possible solutions and providing repair proposals when dealing with OEMs such as Airbus, Boeing and Aircelle when a suitable repair cannot be found.
