Cuban-Mexican Soprano Iris Lima Zemva (IL) was born in 1970 in Havana Cuba. At the age of eight, she joined the Conservatory of Music Alejandro Garcia Caturla, where she studied piano, solfeggio, musical theory, history and Music literature. In 1985, IL met the renowned soprano Margarita Horruitinier. Margarita became IL’s voice teacher and introduced her to the world of opera. Since 1985 to 1995 IL was simultaneously attending individual private singing classes as well as musical education school programs. From 1986 to 1989 she continued her musical education in the National School of Music (ENA) and passed the studies corresponding to the upper intermediate level of Technical and Profess
