I'm trained as an ecophysiologist, but I have also done a great deal of research linked to various topics in stress biology, forestry, ecosystem-atmosphere interactions and climate change.
My main research topic is climate change and biogeochemical cycles, in particular how biosphere influences the chemical composition of the atmosphere, including carbon uptake but also the biosynthesis and emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOC's) from both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.
