I'm a general surgery SRMO in the SW Sydney Surgical Network. Having worked in the NHS in the UK for over 7 years, I made the bold decision to apply for a highly competitive Australian SRMO training post. Having thought long and hard about my career objectives and as a means of broadening my surgical education, I've moved to Australia with the sole aim of getting into the SET programme to complete my training to practice as a General & Colorectal surgeon in metropolitan Australia.
