Brigadier-General James S. Cox, OMM, CD, BA (Manitoba), MA (RMC), PhD (RMC), psc, plsc (Retired)
After over 35 years of military service in operationally-oriented command and staff positions, I retired from the Canadian Forces in 2001. I subsequently served as a parliamentary analyst supporting and advising parliamentarians and parliamentary committees in the fields of national security, defence and veterans affairs.
I now teach Canadian foreign policy at the University of Ottawa and conflict management at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. I also support the Canadian Military Intelligence Association.
