Norris Tobias is an apprentice maintenance engineer who starts his day making a cup of tea and planning goals at DHL Coventry Lindt. He works on a tray erector unit, making amendments to guiders and pistons to improve performance. Norris also 3D prints a design and attends an engineering meeting to discuss future duties. In the afternoon, he implements a Sawyer pick and place tool on the Lindt Easter egg production line while working with the front line manager.

- 1. A SELFIE DAY IN THE LIFE OF... NORRIS TOBIAS,APPRENTICE MAINTENANCE ENGINEER The day starts off at DHL Coventry Lindt. I work for a new business unit within DHL called Digital Manufacturing. I design, engineer and implement Automation throughout DHL across the UK. To start the day I make myself a cup of tea, set up my laptop and plan the day ahead setting goals and targets to achieve by the end of the day. On this particular day I continued work on one of my teams Tray Erector units. A few amendments had to be made to the tray guiders and piston actuators to gain optimum performance out of the unit. I began 3D printing a design I had designed on Solidworks design software. The print took 3 hours and was ready to use immediately. Had an engineering meeting with the Co-Pack Manager and Co-Pack Shift Managers Rob Fletcher and Imran Khan. We discussed future engineering duties and responsibilities. After I had got some food down me I headed upstairs to begin implementation of the Sawyer pick and place tool to the Lindt Easter Egg production line.
