In the past researches, I formulated Markov dynamic programming to optimize Online Travel Agency¨s dynamic package problems. Now I am participating in a Hospital Data-driven Optimization project. With data collected from a mega Chinese hospital, we conduct use-inspired research on the patient clustering and ward bed allocation, as well as the waiting-list patients admission policy. I work with large datasets and import them into Excel, I build models using SPSS and sometimes writing Syntax scripts to automate processes, and if things need to be more rigorous, I use Matlab to process and analyze large datasets and perform modeling.
