I'm the former publisher of Writer's Digest. I speak a lot about the writing and publishing industry鈥擨've spoken at more than 300 events since 2001, including LitFlow Berlin, South by Southwest, the Whidbey MFA residency, BookExpo America, and the Association of Writers and Writing Programs. My expertise has been heard or referenced on NPR鈥檚 Morning Edition, Publishers Weekly, GalleyCat, and PBS, among many others, and I've consulted with organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts.
