I have friends with who are bi-polar disorder, and have experienced the disease first-hand. Actually, I have many friends with many different types of disorders: from personality disorders, addictions, eating disorders, etc. That is why I came up with these characters: not to make fun or light of these issues, but to serve as spokesman (spokes-characters?) and be the unofficial champions for their respective causes. I am hoping to help shed some light on these very serious issues, and at the same time maybe help people lighten up a bit, and maybe get a chuckle or two.
