Information technology is always adapting and changing the business landscape. whomever is working in it on a technology level has to be adaptable. I have waded through 25+ years of mainframe, Novell, IBM token-ring, OS/2, Microsoft Windows, Ethernet, Cisco networks, MPLS , Firewalls, and for the last 9 years VoIP first at enterprise (Cisco UCS) then at Service Provider level (standards based SIP).
The next generation coming is LTE and IMS, wireline networks will only exist in core infrastructure, the user will be mobile and always connected.
