HEN uses defense analytics and Special Operations approaches to map the needs of poor or violent areas as well as map the skills and knowledge of veterans who need interpersonal or material support. This creates a 'horizontal platform' in which these veterans find pathways of stability as they help build up low-income neighborhoods and entire communities, via their motivation, skill and underutilized abilities.
