My name is Joost (/Yoast/) and I am Assistant Professor of Strategic Management. My research interests are at the intersection of technology strategy and innovation management. My work tries to better understand how inter-organizational dynamics, including platform-complementor relationships, alliances, and mergers and acquisitions, affect product-level outcomes. I have done extensive research in the video game industry. I am also interested in how digitization facilitates new and innovative ways of doing business including the freemium and platform-based business models.
