I am Associate Professor at the University of the Algarve and Invited Researcher at Spoken Language Laboratory (L2F), INESC ID Lisboa.
I have a Linguistics (Syntax) background and I have been working in Computational Linguistics / Natural Language Processing since the 90's.
My interests involve Syntax, Lexical Semantics, Parsing technologies, Word Sense Disambiguation, and Information Retrieval (Named Entities Recognition and Relation Extraction) and Anaphora Resolution.
I teach Syntax and NLP-related disciplines. I am also involved in Edition/Text Revision courses.
