Dr. Rocha graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas-UNICAMP, in 1990. Holds a master s degree in Energy Systems Planning from UNICAMP (1993) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering also from UNICAMP (1997). He worked as a visiting researcher at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, from 1994 to 1996 and from 1997 to 1999 at the National Renewable Energy Lab, Golden, Colorado, USA. As a consultant, Dr. Rocha worked in 2000 for CENBIO-Centro Nacional de Refer锚ncia em Biomassa, in S茫o Paulo, and from 2001 to 2005, for NIPE-N煤cleo Interdisciplinar de Planejamento Energ茅tico da UNICAMP, in Campinas.
