Jourdin Barber is a fifth year teacher at KIPP Harmony Academy (#347), a public charter school affiliated with the Knowledge is Power Program network, serving grades K-2, in the Park Heights community of Baltimore City. In her current role, she teaches 27 third graders and acts as a teacher-leader for new and developing teachers.
It is Jourdin's personal mission to show her students all that they can aspire to and achieve when they embrace education and learning. As a product of the Baltimore City Public School System and beneficiary of a private college education, she has seen both spectrums of the education system and knows that all students deserve an education in which everyone鈥檚 ne.
