The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, Inc. (FILSCAP) is a non-stock, non-profit association of composers, lyric-writers and music publishers established in 1965 to administer the public performance and reproduction rights of creators and owners of original musical works.
The Society represents the rights of both local and foreign composers, lyric-writers and music publishers. This means FILSCAP owns or controls in the Philippines an extensive worldwide repertoire of copyrighted local and foreign musical works.
FILSCAP鈥檚 role is to grant permission or license to music users and provide compensation through fees collected to composers, authors and publishers for usage
