After working for many years as a medical scientist in a hospital, I did a Graduate Diploma in Local and Applied History and established my own part-time business as a professional genealogist. I specialise in research at Queensland State Archives, and I particularly enjoy working with unusual sources that overcome 'dead ends'. I also enjoy attending genealogy conferences and giving talks to family history groups. My Web site has over a hundred pages with free advice on sources and techniques for genealogical research; more than 51,000 names from my indexes to archival sources etc; and my own family tree (created with TMG and SecondSite).
