First, materials engineer, I discovered tribology (wear and friction science) by chance and I'm involved in since 12 years. I obtained my Phd. by developing a methodology for mechanical characterization of tribofilms formed by lubricants additives in order to determine how these components behave under shear, pressure and temperature.
