Katherine Soucie is an artist + designer who studied Fashion Design in London and Toronto before furthering her education in Textiles and Visual Art in Vancouver, Canada. Since 2003, her experimentation with textile industry waste and artisanal textile applications has resulted in an extensive body of work for which she has received a numerous scholarships, grants and awards. Her unique textiles and forms are composed from waste hosiery (pantyhose) and is informed by traditional artisanal craft techniques, obsolete sewing/textile machinery and digital technology.
