I obtained Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry in 2009. In 2010 I continued with my studies and enrolled for Honors in Biology specialization in Microbiology. My courses were Bacteriology, Virology & Immunology, Mycology, Industrial & Environmental Microbiology and a post graduate project.
The project entailed isolation of bacteria from soil samples obtained from a platinum mine in Rusternburg. Various tests were performed on the bacteria to determine their morphology, motility and growth responses in various organic and inorganic substances.
