Investigating and supervising research area of antimicrobial peptides and modified peptides against endemic tropical diseases primarily melioidosis. Designing and activity analysis of linear, cyclic, and lipopeptides together with deciphering their mode of action using living and synthetic model membrane. The current research spans from antimicrobial cyclic peptide bactenecin, peptide amphiphiles, silver-nanoparticles, to combination of these agents with traditional antibiotics for synergism outcome and less likely drug resistance in category B biological weapon agent/melioidosis agent named Burkholderia pseudomallei.
