AKB48 is an all-girls, japanese idol group created by Yasushi Akimoto. Akimoto-san patterned his latest creation with his 1980s idol group "Onyanko Club".
AKB48 was launched in December 8, 2005 in their own theater in Don Quijote building, Akihabara, Tokyo. These girls perform under a "Stage" which is an all-sing and dance performance for more than an hour. After each performance, all audiences get to high-five with all of the girl members that performed as they exit the theater grounds. Th
