We would like to thank you for checking us out. We are starting from ground zero on this endeavor. This program that we are starting is unique in content. Though, there are many programs that serve our Veterans it has come to our attention that there are not many programs that help our children who have been abused. The Veterans will help these children who have lost all faith in adults and learn to trust them once again. This is where it helps our Veterans as well. Many Veterans come back from serving our country only to find out that what they once knew is no longer there. They lose their sense of self and many times their families. This is an unfortunate truth for our Veterans. The Veterans will 'adopt' these children as if they were their own. This is the benefit of our program. All who are involved gain something in the end. We have always been passionate about children and our military forces who have served our country. We feel it is now our time to give back to our community and hopefully help the ones who feel lost and alone. This all can be done with your contributions. Please do not forget to share this page with your friends. Also, please stop by Under the Rainbow's fan page and give it a like so that you may follow our progress of making all this a reality. Again, thank you for your support and I hope to be able to invite you to see what your contributions have done very soon.

This document provides an overview of Pennsylvania's Student Learning Objective (SLO) process for teachers. It explains that an SLO template is used to identify goals, indicators, and performance measures for the teacher effectiveness system. The template includes sections for classroom context, the SLO goal, targeted standards, assessments and scoring, growth targets, and approval. Standards are identified from the state's SAS portal and targeted standards are directly related to the goal. The SLO process is designed to measure student growth and determine teacher effectiveness.
The 8 commandments of netiquette are: 1) Treat others as you would like to be treated by following the Golden Rule online. 2) Respect that online environments like classrooms have group norms that still apply. 3) Avoid flaming or attacking others. 4) Respect copyright and do not share others' work without permission. 5) Do not type in all capital letters, which is seen as shouting. 6) Cultivate healthy relationships online. 7) Do not forward sensitive information without the writer's consent. 8) See others' viewpoints and be patient as not everyone has the same online experience or skills.

The document discusses the development of science from several perspectives. It describes how science evolved from early concepts of knowledge in Arabic and Latin. Knowledge is defined as the accumulation of information that explains cause-and-effect relationships systematically. Science differs from knowledge in that it can explain "why" something occurs rather than just "what" is occurring. The document also outlines different ways of obtaining science, including rationalism, empiricism, and the scientific method, which combines rational thinking and empirical evidence testing. Lastly, it provides a brief overview of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

11. What is post-traumatic stress disorder, or
PTSD?
PTSD is a real illness. You can get PTSD after living through or seeing a dangerous event, such as
war, a hurricane, or bad accident. PTSD makes you feel stressed and afraid after the danger is
over. It affects your life and the people around you.
If you have PTSD, you
can get treatment and feel better.
12. Who gets PTSD?
PTSD can happen to anyone at any age. Children get PTSD
too.
You don't have to be physically hurt to get PTSD. You can get it
after you see other people, such as a friend or family member,
get hurt.
15. Equine Therapy
What is equine therapy?
Equine
Therapy is a therapy that uses the horse
as a therapeutic tool and is divided into two
areas:
Hypotherapy
Therapeutic
riding
16. Equine Therapy
Equine Therapy covers the integration of four different professional fields.
Medicine: plays an important role in hypotherapy because sitting on horseback
is used as a physical therapy for patients with neurological dysfunction that
have neuromotor, traumatic or degenerative origins.
Psychology y Education: are directly affected by therapeutic riding and when
combined with psychotherapy therapeutic riding treat psychomotor, sensomotor
and sociomotor dysfunctions.
Sport: riding as a sport gives people with certain physical and functional
disabilities the opportunity to fully integrate into a sporting life.
17. Hypotherapy
Works with people who have neuromotor
disorders with neurological, traumatic,
degenerative or genetic origins.
Within hypotherapy we use two methods: Passive
and Active therapy.
Passive therapy: the patient passively adjusts to
the movement of the horse without any action on
their part, drawing heat body, the rhythmic
impulses and the shape of the three-dimensional
horse. It uses the "back riding" technique where
the therapist sits behind the patient to support and
align during the ride.
Active therapy: adds to the passive adaptation
neuromuscular exercises to stimulate greater
standardization of muscle tone, balance,
coordination and psychomotor symmetry and
body exercises neurosensory stimulation to
increase neuronal synapses and brain plasticity.
18. What is EAP?
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) incorporates horses experientially for
emotional growth and learning. It is a collaborative effort between a licensed
therapist and a horse professional working with the clients and horses to
address treatment goals. Because of its intensity and effectiveness, it is
considered a short-term, or "brief" approach.
EAP is experiential in nature. This means that participants learn about
themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses, and then
processing (or discussing) feelings, behaviors, and patterns. This approach has
been compared to the ropes courses used by therapists, treatment facilities,
and human development courses around the world. But EAP has the added
advantage of utilizing horses, dynamic and powerful living beings.
EAP is a powerful and effective therapeutic approach that has an incredible
impact on individuals, youth, families, and groups. EAP addresses a variety of
mental health and human development needs including behavioral issues,
attention deficit disorder, PTSD, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression,
anxiety, relationship problems and communication needs.
19. What is EAL?
Equine Assisted
Learning (EAL) is similar to EAP but where
the focus is on learning or educational goals. EAL still
involves the team of mental health professional and horse
professional working with the clients and horses. The focus
however is on education and learning specific skills as
defined by the individual or group, such as improved
product sales for a company, leadership skills for a school
group, or resiliency training for our military warriors.
#8: Will be approaching facilities such as Daniel Memorial, MHRC, Baptist, Wolfsons Children. These facilities have constant contact with children who have been abused and are always seeking resources in order to help these children. Since outreach programs are scarce for abused children it is my belie that my facilities would be a great resource for rehabilitation.
