Unit-based nurse educator and bedside nurse in a 24-bed CVICU in a large, urban, tertiary-care, academic medical center. Responsibilities include training approximately fifteen graduate nurses per year, taking patients two shifts per week, teaching/facilitating classes for cardiac surgery, transplantation and mechanical circulatory support devices, validating competency of staff nurses and helping develop nurse driven ECMO program.
