I was born in Ventura, CA. (I still haven't forgiven my parents for moving away from the beach.) Right before I turned 5, they moved me on up to Visalia, CA, or as I like to call it, "Countryfornia". When you start to smell the dairies from the freeway, you know you're getting close.
My folks are both musicians and they did some things for which I will be forever grateful; they put a guitar in my hands before I could walk, started me in piano lessons at age 7 and were forever encouraging me in my singing. (I guess that makes up for moving away from the beach.) There
