Luanna has extensive experience creating, managing, and delivering place and culture-based curriculum programs for Hawaiian charter schools, particularly in math and science. She received her Bachelor of Arts dual degree in Global Studies and Communications. She currently holds a Master of Arts in Culture, Ecology and Sustainable Community with an emphasis on Ecological Agriculture. She has worked in a variety of fields including urban gardening education, health education, ESL curriculum development and culturally relevant STEM and sustainability curriculum design and delivery. Her career has centered on community empowerment and sustainability through education and advocacy.
