I gained training and experience as a biostatistician and have conducted several Epidemiological studies using large scale databases and geographic information systems. In these studies, I implemented complex spatiotemporal modeling approaches that take spatial heterogeneity into account, identify spatial vulnerability, and evaluate geographic disparities in cancer, respiratory disease, asthma, and diabetes. Most research findings were published in high impact factor journals, such as Environmental Health Perspectives, Environmental International, Cancer Causes & Control, and PLoS ONE.
