I am a student teacher specializing in English, Physical education and Life Orientation for the senior and FET phase. The three subjects are extremely interesting to teach because they allow me to employ a teaching approach which is guided by a great deal of engagement, which according to my understanding is the most important part of teaching and learning. The subjects also allow me to explore different topics that the learners can relate to because they are practical subjects. My favorite topics to explore are those that are concerned with the wellbeing of the learners because I understand the importance of being a caring practitioner.
