I am currently a member of the Italian Parliament. Elected in 2006 and confirmed in 2008 in the House of Representatives (Chamber of Deputies).
I am a member of the Foreign Affairs Permanent Committee and also the President of the Italian-Australian Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
I was born in the Marche Region, Ascoli Piceno, in 1958 and migrated to Australia in 1983. Based in Adelaide first I then moved to Melbourne in 1992.
I have been involved with many community organisations and worked for the Australian public and private sectors, before my employment with FILEF, Patronato INCA and COASIT.
I am married, have three daughters and work in Rome.
